Sodium Phosphate, Monobasic, Dihydrate is one of the sodium salts derived from phosphoric acid. Highly hygroscopic and water soluble it comes in the form of a white powder. In an aqueous solution it is basic, with a pH value between 8.0 and 11.0. It is added in animal feed, toothpaste, and evaporated milk. It is used as a thickening agent and emulsifier.
